It’s no secret that national holidays are often used as opportunities to go shopping, and Halloween is rapidly gaining popularity for the many types of home décor it inspires. The winter holidays provide substantial off-season business for many garden center retailers, but if spending trends are any indication, Halloween-themed products could be another major revenue source. A consumer trend report by the National Retail Federation shows that national spending on Halloween is charted to reach a record high this year:
