This hydrangea quercifolia is dense and compact, with abundant branching and strong stems to support its beautiful blooms. Jetstream’s bright white, cone-shaped flowers cover the plant through the summer. As the blooms fade, they transform to a dark, dusky pink. The dark green, disease-resistant foliage shines in summer, then turns to an amazing orange-red in the fall. Even the strong stems offer winter interest with peeling tawny-brown bark. Bred by Dr. Michael Dirr and Plant Introductions, Inc., the plant grows best in full sun to part shade, zones 5 through 8 and grows to a height of 5 to 6 feet and a width of 4 to 5 feet.
