The VitroClean Green crushed glass filter media is designed to work in an existing sand filter, and will filter finer sand with 20 percent less media required. The VitroClean Green crushed glass filter media is manufactured from recycled, processed glass, and is a direct replacement for silica sand and other materials in media filters. VitroClean media has a non-crystalline shape that offers less density and more open space between grains to trap fine particulate. The crushed glass does not degrade like sand. This reduces the need for replacement due to degradation of media.
