Twigs Garden Center in Jackson, Wyo. targeted by thieves

Intruders dug up flowers from the retailer's perennial garden, marking the first theft in the store's 12-year history.

Gardens can take months to bloom, but they only take a few minutes to dig up.

“It’s like a whodunit mystery,” said Lisa Miller of Twigs Garden Center.

Employees at Twigs maintain a perennial garden in front of the store at 890 S. Highway 89, and last week they noticed many of their plants had gone missing.

“There are holes everywhere,” Miller said.

Employees filed a police report, and wildlife scavenging was quickly eliminated because the holes are precise.
