TDI Brands distributing bamboo self-watering pots, indoor plant care products

TDI Brands, a distributor of home and garden products based in Jasper, Indiana, has introduced a range of new exclusive products for garden centers to sell, including bamboo self-watering pots and several indoor plant care products.

TDI entered into a license agreement with Bamboo Blooms to exclusively distribute in the U.S. the Australian company's Bamboo Fiber Self-Watering Pots, which include 7-inch round pots in 12 designs and 16-inch window boxes in three designs (both graphics and solid colors). Also available is a display containing 150 pots, POP material and a metal/wood display stand.

Designed to make it easy for customers to keep plants healthy and hydrated, the pots are made from sustainable bamboo fiber, corn starch and wood pulp bound together with a natural resin. They're biodegradable, UV-protected and can be used inside or outside, and they also feature a built-in Plant Saver reservoir that automatically waters plants and separates the plant’s roots from the water with an air gap ensuring plants never become waterlogged and the roots remain aerated.

TDI also entered into a license agreement with Mayhem UK to exclusively distribute the English company's Wicked Waterer brand of indoor plant care products in the U.S.:

• The Plant Alarm (standard and tall) checks moisture at the root level and gives immediate notification of the plants water status, flashing red when the plant needs water and green when it does not.
  

• The Spike Water Kit keeps plants watered while their owners are away. Each kit comes with four water spikes with nylon/polyester (non-rotting) cords. When the spike is placed in the plant and the wicking cord is placed in a bottle of water, plants will be taken care of up to 12 days. It also features an adjustable valve.

• The Grow Light comes with a timer that can be set for three, nine or 12 hours, with a remote to turn the light to blue to boost foliage, red to promote flowering and blue/red once the plant is grown up.

• The Plant Groomers is a kit that comes with a trowel, transplanter, rake and metal snips, perfect for tending to small plants, terrariums, cacti and seedlings.
