Suntory
Suntory Flowers has been granted patent protections for plants and breeding methods of mandevilla hybrids with distinct pigments that create orange and yellow tones.
In the U.S., the following Sun Parasol varieties are included in the scope of claims: Sun Parasol Apricot, Sun Parasol Original Sunbeam and Sun Parasol Giant Peach Sunrise, as well as a new upright variety that will be introduced during the Tropical Plant International Expo (TPIE) this month.
Two additional protected varieties are licensed to Fernlea Flowers and marketed as Calypso Limone and Samba Coral Pinwheel.
Suntory Flowers’ vision is to expand the horticultural possibility and market potential of the mandevilla genus using such novel technologies. For more information, visit suntoryflowers.com.
