Sonny’s Garden Center closes

The Watertown, N.Y., retailer had been open for more than 20 years. April 25 was the store's last day of business, and all inventory has been sold off or stored.

Watertown, N.Y. — Sonny’s Florist Gift & Garden Center will permanently close after more than a two decades of service.

While the owner, Milo “Sonny” W. Moody, could not be reached for comment despite several attempts, Noah T. Stoudt, an employee at the store on Route 342, said today is its last day of business. All products are on sale and any unsold products will be moved to storage.

A friend of Mr. Moody’s who was helping him close the store and would not provide her name said all employees “got other jobs and have moved on.”
