PlantCon International is moving to Orlando this year, following two years in Texas.
The global nonprofit plant convention is scheduled for Feb. 22-23, 2025, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando.
The event is designed to unite plant enthusiasts worldwide, foster connections, bridge gaps within the plant community and provide an inclusive platform for learning, sharing and growing together.
PlantCon Orlando will feature a marketplace with more than100 local and international booths offering an extensive selection of plants and plant-related products, including aroids, orchids, bonsai, aquatics, florals, cacti, edible plants and more.
"We’re thrilled to bring PlantCon to Orlando for the first time," said Kenny Nguyen, founder of PlantCon International. "This expansion is a testament to the incredible support we’ve received over the past two years. Florida’s plant community is truly inspiring, and we’re excited to celebrate and contribute to the passion for plants. We can’t wait to share PlantCon with local plant enthusiasts and visitors from around the world!"
The keynote presentation is "A Healthy Respect for the Powers of Plants... and the Incredible Ways They Engage Us!" by physician-botanist Jeff Block, known as "DocBlock," who will explore how plants interact with human senses and influence perception and wellbeing.
PlantCon Orlando will also offer hands-on workshops and presentations led by industry experts, covering topics such as plant care, propagation, native plants, landscaping and gardening.
General admission tickets are $35 plus tax and include admission to both days of the convention. Children ages 14 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.
