Check out these three varieties from the Pacific Plug & Liner (PP&L) California Summer Trials 2021 stop at the breeder's greenhouses in Watsonville, California:

Delphinium ‘DELGENIUS Glitzy’
This new delphinium variety from Pacific Plug & Liner grows compactly with no PGRs needed, and it tolerates high heat well. Buyers will be pleased with it’s branching prowess and the massive amount of blooms as this variety stacks flowers from head to toe and everywhere in between. Liners are produced from tissue cultures and a single liner can fill a 1.5-2 gallon container with eye-drawing purple double blooms.

Gaillardia Sunset Super Compact ‘Sunset Halo’
Self-branching and a compact growth habit remove the need for pinching or PGR use on this versatile new blanket flower that is perfect for landscapes and container plantings. This one from the Sunset Plant Collection likes to flower all season long, and it’s very noticeable fire-engine red and sun-blazing yellow hues lend a stunning dash of color to any area of the garden.

Echibeckia ‘Summerina Sunbeat’
Sunbeat is the newest hybrid (Rudbekia x Echinacea) selection in the Summerina series. It is tall and fills the pot, working best in larger pots such as 1.5 to 2 gallon. The flowers are smaller than others in the series, but Sunbeat makes up for that with loads of blooms. Flower color is bright yellow with a red eye.
