Ohio Green Industry Association announces 2025 board of directors

The Ohio Green Industry Association (OGIA) has announced its 2025 board of directors.

Executive leadership includes:

  • Abby Thompson, president, Acorn Farms (Galena, Ohio)
  • Matt Turner, president-elect, Turner Landscaping (Saint Paris, Ohio)
  • David Hupman, immediate past president, Natorp's (Waynesville, Ohio)

"As I step into the role of OGIA president for 2025, I’m reminded of how much this industry has given me over the years and how important it is to give back,” Thompson said. “The green industry is about more than planting trees or shrubs — it’s about cultivating happiness and creating spaces people love. My hope for this year is to inspire more industry professionals to engage with OGIA’s learning opportunities, connect and continue growing together as we shape the future of this incredible field. Let’s get involved and make 2025 a year of growth."

The OGIA has more than 1,300 members comprised of nursery stock growers, garden center operators, landscape contractors, landscape design and grounds maintenance firms, arborists, students enrolled in landscape and horticulture programs in the state and allied suppliers. The association has represented Ohio’s green industry for more than 100 years.
