Linder’s garden center celebrates its 100th anniversary

St. Paul, Minn., retailer has stood the test of time

Linder’s Greenhouse and Garden Center in St. Paul, Minn., is celebrating its 100th anniversary, TwinCities.com reported.

Founder Albert Linder, a Swiss immigrant, bought a small farm in St. Paul in 1910, and sold celery stalks from horse-drawn wagons to Chinese restaurants.

"We've come a long way since the celery days," said Albert's granddaughter, Lill Linder, who owns the business with brother Dave.
