GIE Media President Chris Foster biking to raise funds for cancer research

Foster, who is president of Garden Center's parent company, is riding in the VeloSano 2-day Cyclopath (190-mile ride), which raises money for the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Research Center.

VALLEY VIEW, Ohio – Chris Foster, president and CEO of GIE Media, parent company of Garden Center magazine, is riding in the VeloSano 2-day Cyclopath (190-mile ride), July 20-21, in Northeast Ohio. All money raised goes to the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Research Center. The link to Foster’s fundraising page is https://give.ccf.org/fundraiser/2089615

For Foster, the motivation to participate in the Cyclopath is personal, as cancer has touched his life many times. “My mother died of a glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). A friend of mine is currently being treated for a GBM as well. My stepmother died of breast cancer. My wife’s aunt is fighting breast cancer for the second time. My brother-in-law was recently cleared after his fight against laryngeal cancer though it left serious permanent damage, causing an inability to swallow food properly. I believe everyone has stories similar to mine.”

One hundred percent of the funds raised go directly into cancer research at the Cleveland Clinic, a leader in global research. “These dollars are used to discover more about the causes of cancer and develop better ways to treat it, with the ultimate goal of discovering a cure,” Foster said.

Foster is currently more than half-way towards his $2,000 fundraising goal. Learn more at https://give.ccf.org/fundraiser/2089615.
