The GardenComm Virtual Conference, an event for garden communicators is now open for registration. This special event on Aug. 11-14 will offer attendees exclusive looks at new plant varieties and garden products, networking opportunities with editors seeking fresh talent and education for enhancing communication skills.
“The GardenComm Virtual Conference is the leading event for professional and aspiring writers, authors, bloggers, social media influencers, photographers, marketers, public relations specialists, podcasters, and others to gain insight from industry experts to advance attendees’ careers in garden communications,” said Jo Ellen Meyers Sharp, GardenComm president. “We will be offering twelve educational sessions, five virtual private tours of gardens from around the world, and countless networking opportunities. I hope you can join us.”
If you talk about plants in any medium — speaking, writing, posting, tweeting, taking photos, etc. — you are a garden communicator. These sessions may benefit nursery growers, greenhouse operators, garden center owners, and others, whether that be through talking to customers, helping with social media, website, newsletters, catalog/availability list, and so on.
Over four days, attendees will learn how to take awe-inspiring plant photos with a smartphone, build a speaking business, create an engaging email marketing strategy, talk about gardens in a post-COVID world and much more.
Session topics include:
