Garden for Wildlife, Inc., an organization dedicated to promoting wildlife conservation through gardening with native plants, has announced a new partnership with Carolina Native Nursery. Carolina Native Nursery is a grower of native plants for ecological restoration, landscaping and gardening. This partnership aims to provide high-quality native plants to gardeners nationwide while promoting sustainable gardening practices that benefit wildlife.

Through this partnership, Garden for Wildlife and Carolina Native Nursery will work together to ensure that gardeners have access to a wide range of native plant species that are beneficial to wildlife and easy to grow in home gardens. By providing a diverse selection of plants, the partnership hopes to make it easier for gardeners to create wildlife-friendly habitats in their own backyards.

Carolina Native Nursery has grown native plants for over 20 years and has a reputation for providing high-quality plants that are well-suited to the local environment. By working with Garden for Wildlife, the nursery hopes to expand its reach and make native plants more accessible to gardeners across the country.

The Garden for Wildlife collections consist of an assortment of scientifically-curated combinations of keystone native plants that support 90% of butterflies and moths, up to 60% of native pollen specialist bees and 96% of backyard birds. Research shows native plant gardens support 50% more wildlife than surrounding conventional landscapes.

Garden for Wildlife is currently working with Carolina Native Nursery, and other regional growers to supply the right native plants to 38 states – and are working on expanding nationwide.

Their native plants are never treated with neonicotinoids. In addition, GFW works with Plant Sentry. This tool makes it possible to meet the stringent growing, inspection and audit requirements for plants in every state to ensure healthy plants (free of disease or invasive pests) arrive at their destination.
