Garden Center magazine, the leading industry trade publication serving independent garden center retailers in North America, has announced dates for the Garden Center Conference & Expo. This new industry-wide event will take place Sept. 28-30 at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Florida. The 2 ½ day experience will offer round-table education sessions designed specifically for independent garden center executives as well as department heads and team leaders. Additionally, attendees will enjoy ample networking time as well as access to an exhibit hall featuring the newest products coming to market.
“For several years now, both IGCs and suppliers have expressed to us the need for an event that brings together the industry’s top retail professionals for both high-level education and access to the latest products being brought to market, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with their peers who are facing the same issues within their own operations,” says Nick Collins, publisher. “The Garden Center Conference & Expo is exactly what the industry has asked for!”
The in-depth education program is being developed by dynamic industry leaders who comprise the Garden Center Conference & Expo Advisory Board and the Garden Center editorial team.
“The Garden Center Conference & Expo is an evolution of the Garden Center Executive Summit, which has brought together the brainpower and expertise of top independent garden center owners and operators over the last few years,” says Editor Kate Spirgen. “We remain committed to delivering solutions-based education that focuses on topics relevant to IGCs, and at their suggestion are expanding to include a track for their management teams. Just as important is maintaining an environment that fosters a free flow and exchange of ideas — something that has always been essential to this industry.”
“Giving IGCs the additional opportunity to view the newest products and network with the industry’s leading suppliers and vice versa makes the Garden Center Conference & Expo the complete package. It’s the must-attend event of 2021,” Group Publisher Jim Gilbride states.
