Sun Bulb Company acquires Dynamite Plant Food

For retailers, Dynamite products can be ordered and shipped along with the current Better-Gro line.

Arcadia, Fla. – Sun Bulb Company, the makers of Better-Gro gardening products, recently completed the acquisition of Oxford, Fla. based Dynamite Plant Food, a company best known for its professional-grade continuous-release fertilizers and organic plant foods.

Dynamite Plant Food was initially developed for and used by commercial growers. The patented plant food was formulated to provide continuous release nutrients, based on both moisture and temperature needs. In 1990, Dynamite Complete Plant Food was introduced to the retail market. Since then, the product line has expanded to include a full line of plant foods developed for flowers and vegetables; orchids and bromeliads; palms and citrus; and all purpose needs. In addition, Dynamite is a pioneer in the earth-friendly, organic sector. They developed the well-known organic formula, Mater Magic, which is designed to produce larger and juicier tomatoes as well as an all-purpose organic plant food which can be used on herbs, fruits, vegetables, houseplants, trees and shrubs.

“Today’s home gardener is looking for earth-friendly options and proven plant foods at a price point that will provide value and plant longevity. With food prices on the rise and organic foods at a premium, the at-home garden market both for ornamentals and edibles continues to grow,” says Rod Hollingsworth, CEO of Better-Gro. “This acquisition is very timely and is an excellent complement to our existing Better-Gro product line.”

For retailers, Dynamite plant foods may be ordered and shipped along with the current Better-Gro product line. For consumers, Dynamite and Better-Gro gardening products are available for purchase nationwide through major home centers, mass merchandisers and independent garden centers.
