Notable new varieties to be introduced at CAST 2023 by Sakata Seed America:
SuperCal Premium Red Maple is an exciting new color in this popular series! With large, iridescent flowers of scarlet to an orange glow and a well-branched, mounding plant habit. SuperCal Premium Red Maple has exceptional weather tolerance making it an excellent choice for a season extender (early spring through autumn).
SunPatiens Compact Red Candy has large, vibrant bicolor flowers with high retail appeal. The dark bronze foliage provides excellent contrast. Its strong vigor and excellent heat tolerance allow continuous flowers, full sun to part-shade, for three seasons.
Calipetite Sunset Orange produces an endless supply of orange bicolor flowers all summer long. This naturally compact plant is the ideal choice for small patio pots or window box production.
Majorette Orange & Yellow Bicolor Dark Eye is a bright new bicolor with high contrast. Majorette is a highly uniform gerbera series producing multiple large flowers, perfect for 5" pots and color bowls. The abundant stems and long-lasting, large flowers make it an eye-catcher at retail.
Our new ColorMax Blue Jeans is a unique color addition to the series. With early flowering, this viola is excellent for the spring or fall; it has better heat and cold tolerance than pansies. The extra-large flowers match the rest of the ColorMax Viola Series.
Solo Lisianthus is our newest cut flower series coming in four amazing colors. It has an even longer vase life of twenty-one days. The strong petals allow for good transportation with no stained flowers. This is the very first pollen-free series in the world!
