The Western Nursery and Landscape Association (WNLA) announced its ticketed events lineup for the 2020 Western in Kansas City, which will take place from Jan. 15-17. Tickets for the events must be ordered in preregistration and cannot be purchased onsite.
Wednesday evening’s welcome reception will kick place at Boulevard Brewing Co. and will include dinner from Joe’s Kansas City Bar-B-Que. The 2020 Western Awards will be presented at this event and trolley transportation will be available to and from the hotel.
The first ticketed event is a design workshop instructed by Haig Seferian, principal landscape architect and founder of Seferian Design Group. Haig is an authority on the various aspects of the built landscape and educates the public by creating content for and hosting TV shows such as “Green Force” and “Garden Architecture” on HGTV. He has over three decades of industry experience, and is a well-known lecturer, author and television personality. In 2011 Haig was elevated to Fellow status within the American Society of Landscape Architects (FASLA).
The second ticketed event features Sue Markgraf, who will be presenting “The Brand that is YOU: How to Own It, Work It, Live It!” at the Women in Horticulture breakfast on Friday morning. She will address how individuals can articulate their strengths, values, and talents. The breakfast will be followed by a round-table discussion. Sue is the founder and president of GreenMark Public Relations, Inc.
