In 2002, SummerWinds Garden Centers purchased Timber Creek Nursery in Ellisville, Mo., from long-time successful retailers Bob and Geri Specker. For more than 14 years, SummerWinds profitably operated this location with the benefit of its outstanding seasoned associates — including Mike Curran, who previously worked for Timber Creek Nursery.
Tim Businda, VP of Retail Operations for SummerWinds, says that Curran approached SummerWinds about buying the Ellisville store last summer. “The timing was perfect, as we wanted to focus our operating energy entirely on our California and Arizona retail stores," Businda said. "All of us at SummerWinds wish Mike and his team every continued success.” Mike has thoughtfully named his business Timberwinds Nursery.
