Founded in 1975, North Country Wind Bells® is ringing in many years of success as the creator of wind bells that echo the mystical sounds and evoke magical memories of the buoy bells found as navigational markers on ocean harbors, mighty rivers and great lakes.
Living in the rugged and beautiful state of Maine has provided a depth of inspiration in the designs Connie and Paul create with their loyal staff’s assistance in the production of their distinctive and memorable wind bells. Each wind bell is named and legally protected with intellectual property rights.
The original and authentic ‘buoy bells’ are a simple and elegant design in a pyramid shape and powder coated a textured black matte. There are over 100 choices of wind catchers at the bottom of the bell, included in the bell price. These designs embrace nautical, wilderness, nature and special interest themes. As this family company has grown over the years, additional designs of wind bells have been added to their collection together with Lighthouse bells®, Wilderness bells® and special edition bells! The newest wind bell for 2016 is “The Navigator™” with a white compass rose design, in three memorable sounds.
Being environmentally conscientious and a proud green company, each wind bell is carefully constructed with recycled steel and then powder coated in their extensive workshop on the family compound found on the rugged Pemaquid Peninsula of Maine. All steel is over 60 percent recycled! Once constructed and coated, these special wind bells are then neatly tagged and tucked into a recyclable box. This distinctive box was designed by Paul and is made by another family company in Maine, too. Point of purchase display stands are available either in wood or steel, and made by North Country Wind Bells,® too! Keeping these displays filled with North Country Wind Bells® adds beautiful sounds and color to any garden shop and nursery, providing a sought-after and unusual gift, which is very fitting to accent customers' landscapes! These wind bells are very strong sellers year round and especially perfect for birthdays, Mother’s and Father’s Day, house warmings, weddings and Christmas time! “As with every gentle wind, the recipient will have a lovely reminder of you!”
