The Contra bass measures nine feet in length and produces powerfully rich, melodic tones. The tuning is the “expanded” Quartal. The Quartal is based on intervals of fourths and fifths. The size (voice) contrabass is one half octave higher than the size (voice) basso profundo. This precision-tuned chime is meticulously hand-crafted in Austin, Texas, in the U.S.A.
