The fashion world has taken notice of a rising star in jewelry design who creates wearable art using plants and flowers. The debut collection from Stephanie D’heygere, called “The Flower Shop,” was presented at the Marché aux Fleurs during Paris Fashion Week in January. After working for several major European fashion brands, the Belgian-born D’heygere wished to work on something “more personal,” launching The Flower Shop jewelry line among the seasonal and exotic bouquets of the Marché aux Fleurs. The location served as a symbol of Paris-based D’heygere’s love of flowers and tied into the original concept for the collection: easy-to-wear accessories that could carry flowers in a minimalist fashion. D’heygere studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, and previously worked as head of jewelry at Maison Margiela and senior jewelry designer at Dior before going freelance and launching her brand. — Conner Howard
