Glenhaven Home & Holiday’s recent buying tour to the Far East visited top suppliers in China, Vietnam, Bali and India, with 15 buyers and owners from many of the leading garden centers in the USA. The group worked long days and visited many fabulous showrooms.
We also had the opportunity to tour factories and see local artisans create products right before our eyes. It was an incredible trip and everyone is excited about products we selected for the Spring & Garden 2020 season. We are already booking travelers for the upcoming fall buying trips for Christmas 2020! We invite any interested garden center buyers and owners to contact us for more information regarding our buying tours.
There are many benefits to going on a Glenhaven buying trip. Our current members come back each year for the lowest prices in the industry, consistent on-time delivery and to gain access to the newest products coming to the marketplace. Perhaps the most obvious benefit is that you can buy your products directly from the manufacturer. You will get the exact same product, for nearly half the cost of what you would pay from a wholesaler in Atlanta. When you buy it direct, you buy it right! In most cases, this lower cost and higher value will help double your profit margin.
Another intangible and rewarding benefit of participating in a buying tour, is traveling with some of the most talented buyers in the garden center industry. Travelers continually share their collective knowledge and expertise on buying, merchandising, selling strategies and more with one another. The knowledge gained and relationships formed on Glenhaven trips, brings benefits to both your bottom line and to fellow colleagues back home. The professional and personal value of this experience cannot be overstated.
Glenhaven Home & Holiday is a direct import company, committed to helping the independent garden center thrive, grow and build a competitive advantage in today’s marketplace. Our business model enables the independent garden center to compete more effectively with big box and online retailers. We offer the newest designs of holiday, garden décor and garden hardgoods at the lowest possible prices.
I truly believe that having the hard-working and fun-loving people of the garden center industry travel the world, helps to make our world a better place. Moreover, our members return home with improved skills, increased knowledge and new strategic relationships needed to compete more effectively in today’s marketplace. Won’t you join us on our next buying trip coming this fall?
