Dripping Springs Ollas
Dripping Springs Ollas
Clay pot irrigation consists of burying an organic unglazed clay pot, called an olla, in the ground up to the neck. The olla is filled with water and plants are planted outside the olla. A process called soil-moisture tension occurs, watering the plants as needed, saving up to 70 percent in water use. A Dripping Springs Olla can water an 18-inch radius for three to five days in a garden, raised bed or container. Suggested retail price: $35.
Keira Watering Can
Keira
Keira has designed a watering can prioritizing modern style and ergonomic function. The watering cans are made from 100 percent recycled product, and their patented “stackability” reduces their ecological footprint. The top handle placement allows for better water weight distribution, putting less stress on the wrist. The long spout design allows for better flow/control, giving gardeners access to hard-to-reach places.
Water King Tree Sprinkler
Water King
The Water King Tree Sprinkler can be used to evenly water trees, shrubs, flowers and gardens. The sprinkler can be easily moved from one location to another, and the water flow can be changed from a drip to a fountain right on the device without having to adjust the spigot. Made in the USA.
Hydretain
Ecologel Solutions, LLC
Hydretain, a patented technology designed to manage moisture in between irrigation cycles or rainfall, can help reducing watering up to 50 percent and protect plants from drought stress. After several years of commercial use by golf courses, nurseries, sod farms and landscapers, Hydretain is now available to homeowners. Hydretain is an environmentally friendly product that converts soil moisture vapor into water droplets, allowing plants to use moisture that would otherwise be lost to evaporation. Used during plant installation or maintenance, Hydretain will help your customers grow and maintain healthy lawns, landscaping and vegetable gardens.
