Garden centers are governed by the seasons and the way plants grow. Those rhythms are deeply ingrained in the way we do business, so they should also be ingrained in the way we learn and connect. For the 2024 Garden Center Conference & Expo, we’ve taken inspiration from the plants our readers sell. Following the lifespan of the greenery we love, we’ve crafted the arc of the conference to three distinct beats: sowing, growing and pollinating.
Day one, sowing, is about understanding the landscape and sharing the health of the industry. We will discuss trends and issues that are important for a fertile landscape of ideas that will help participants thrive on day two.
The second day is about growth. Our three educational tracks are designed so that participants walk away from the sessions with goals and tactics they can implement immediately upon returning home. We’re focusing on growth in areas highlighted as concerns in our State of the Industry Report: staffing and digital marketing solutions. On our show floor, vendors will offer hands-on workshops related to store design, events and merchandising in the “Lightning Track,” new to the conference this year.
Day three brings everyone together for breakfast and a few hours of intensive conversation. Here, we pollinate the amazing ideas we’ve had over the course of the conference. It’s a time to share, connect and inspire one another before heading home, ready to continue the cycle again in your own business.
Here are some highlights from what promises to be an amazing show that will help attendees flourish.
