Repel or be repelled

New generation pest deterrents are more parts 'scary' than 'bury'

In the “olden days,” when your customer wanted to get rid of pests, she generally bought stuff – and annoying critters generally bought the farm. Because of potential harmful side effects attached to many of those products, today’s shelves are stocked differently. Now, items are much more pest-friendly, even while being fully capable of driving unwanted four-, six-, and eight-legged visitors away. Regardless of the “enemy,” whether it be pesky insect pests or furry four-legged pests or things that buzz and sting or things that just sting, pest control is a big industry. Here are five examples of effective – and safe – pest control products that you can market.

What is it? The ThermaCELL Mosquito-repelling lantern from the Schawbel Corporation. Why should you sell it? Thanks to its combination of ambient light and ability to repel mosquitoes, the ThermaCELL lantern is ideal for patio or other outdoor gatherings. The light operates on four AA batteries.
