Echo Valley® has been on a huge roll in recent years releasing some of the most compelling and innovative products the outdoor décor industry has ever seen. 2016 not only sees a continuation of this, but according to VP of Sales Michael Bodo, “Our new lineup includes what we anticipate being the most successful product in our company’s 34 year history — The Afterglow™ Solar Bottle Lantern Kit.”
To its credit, Echo Valley® has developed the first solar rechargeable, battery-powered light mechanism that enables consumers to repurpose used beverage bottles of all shapes and sizes and turn them into beautiful hanging or standing twinkling luminaries. The Afterglow™ comes attractively packaged in a color hangtab box and ships in a shelf-ready 12pc PDQ display with a “Try Me” button on the front for in-store demonstrations. As Bodo says, “We were completely taken by surprise by the demand for the item this holiday season and have increased production to meet our anticipated needs for spring.”
Hot on the heels of the launch of its successful Lumisphere Rattan and Seagrass solar lanterns comes a family of smaller, brightly-colored orbs Echo Valley® affectionately refers to as its Nest Solar Lantern series. This collection provides the same stunning lighting effect, but for a third of the price. According to Bodo, “These will no doubt appeal to a segment of the market wanting something similar to our natural fiber lanterns, but at a lower price point and in vibrant, eye-catching colors.”
Echo Valley’s highly popular Illuminarie® Pot Stickers™ sees two welcome additions to the range for 2016. “Our Fairy Silhouette and Pet collections have IMPULSE written all over them”, says Bodo. “These novel, whimsical designs will no doubt be among our top-sellers this year given their newness and attractive price-point.”
Another popular category seeing a long-overdue update is Echo Valley’s glass Plant Quenchers™. The company not only came up with one series to complement its original round assortment introduced 15 years ago, but two. “Our Bird and Frog Plant Quenchers™ represent a step-up from our original model and provide consumers something more ornate than just a plain, round bauble. The response thus far has been overwhelmingly positive and has reinvigorated the category,” says Bodo.
To sum up where the company has been and where it’s going, Bodo concludes, “The driving force behind Echo Valley® and the thing we are most inspired by is bringing exciting, innovative products to market. Our legacy is one that has proven our ability to deliver upon this time and again and is part and parcel why the future has never looked brighter!”
