
Many millennials and Gen Z-ers are picking up hobbies once designated for senior citizens, and there are some tie-ins garden centers can use to appeal to this “grandma-chic” demographic. “Granny” hobbies are closely linked to the cottagecore aesthetics trending on TikTok and Instagram. Solitaire Bliss, a free online site where users can play solitaire, wanted to dig in deeper to find out more. So they compiled a list of popular “granny hobbies” that included puzzles and card games to crocheting and gardening, and gauged how many Americans under 40 engage in these activities. Here’s what the survey found:
