2019 Farwest Best in Show booth award winners announced

Eight exhibitors were honored for creative booths with the Ted Van Veen Best in Show awards.

Portland, Ore. — Judges walked the floor of the 2019 Farwest Show to find the best of the best exhibitors, recognizing several winners with the Ted Van Veen Best in Show booth awards. The show runs through Friday, August 23, at the Oregon Convention Center in downtown Portland, Oregon.

”We pride the Farwest Show on being far from ordinary, and that plays out in all aspects of the show, from seminar lineup to the breadth of plant material and products and services, to the booth designs,” Show director Allan NIemi said. “The Farwest Show is a true showcase for Oregon’s nursery industry, which is the largest sector in Oregon agriculture with nearly $1 billion in annual sales.”

Winning the overall Best in Show award was Little Prince of Oregon Nursery (Booth #7025), for their festive, holiday-themed booth, complete with (simulated) fireplace. The booth also collected an award for best 10×10 grower booth.

The Best in Show booth award comes with a free 10×10 booth space for the 2020 Farwest Show. Other Best of Division award winners included the following:

The show also recognized exhibitors who put extra creativity into their booths with three Far From Ordinary booth awards.

Winning that award this year were PureCrop1, Hopper Bros. (Booth #12010) and Open Range (Booth #9056).
