In agreement with Bremkens Orchids, the rooting of Dümmen Orange's phalaenopsis products will take place at the Bremkens production facility in Germany. Because of its quality products, Bremkens is the preferred rooting station for Dümmen Orange, and will be the main provision for the European market.
Dümmen Orange is a market leader in the breeding of floricultural crops. Since 2017, the breeding and global sales of phalaenopsis has enhanced the company’s position in this category, which allows it to provide growers access to a wide range of products.
Bremkens Orchids — a family-owned company founded in 1955 — is one of the largest young plant producers in Europe. It is currently managed by the general manager Christian Bremkens, in close collaboration with his brother, Peter and their father, Matthias.
The partnership also includes the collaboration of the sales teams of both companies. Edwin van den Nieuwendijk, sales manager at Bremkens Orchids and Christian Bremkens will join the Dümmen Orange sales team to bring the products forward in Europe. Both companies will also investigate possible joint promotions, testing facilities and improved services for growers.
Maurice van Leeuwen, IPT Leader Tropicals with Dümmen Orange is proud of this new collaboration.
“Bremkens Orchids is known as one of the best rooting stations of phalaenopsis worldwide. In this way, Dümmen Orange is assured of supplying top quality and full rooting flexibility to its customers, the growers,” he said.
Christian Bremkens regards this opportunity as a strategic next step and says that “Dümmen Orange fits Bremkens’ mission perfectly to provide floricultural solutions by investing in the latest innovative breeding technologies through a strong global sales network.”
This new partnership will give growers access to the best starting material possible and the best support for growing their products.
